How It Works

Energy Park Utility Company provides a superior alternative to on-site energy production by providing reliable and efficient hot water and chilled water services. Three gas/oil-fired boilers and four electric-driven chillers produce hot and chilled water, which is then distributed to customer buildings through a closed-loop network of underground pipes.

Energy Park Utility Company provides both heating and cooling services year-round. The hot and chilled water is transferred to the customer from the distribution network through isolation valves in the street at each customer location. Buildings take either hot or cold water to provide heating and cooling services. Once a customer building draws the energy it needs, the water is returned to the central plant to be heated or cooled to the desired supply temperature and then recirculated through the closed loop system.
