Energy Park Utility Company provides heating and cooling services to the Energy Park neighborhood. The system supports offices, technology centers, schools, light industrial manufacturing facilities, health clinics, a hotel, and individual and multi-unit residential buildings.
Energy Park was redeveloped by the Saint Paul Port Authority in 1983, at which time the district energy system was constructed to provide efficient and reliable energy to the those living and working in Energy Park. In 2021, District Energy St. Paul entered a long-term lease with the Saint Paul Port Authority. District Energy now provides full oversight of the utility business management, including system financing, strategic capital investment, and customer care. Personnel are provided by District Energy’s affiliate Ever-Green Energy.
